- Education: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in HR, administrative, or related support role (candidates with more experience encouraged to apply)
- Language: Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with or ability to learn Paylocity HRIS
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of employment laws, benefits plans, FMLA, ADA, Leave of Absence
- Professional Competencies: Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking with competing deadlines, strict confidentiality, excellent communication skills
- Working Style: Independent and collaborative work capabilities, warmth and cultural sensitivity, service orientation
- Experience: Working with families facing systemic barriers, poverty, housing insecurity, or economic hardship
- Additional Requirements: Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with reliable vehicle and adequate insurance; Caregiver Background Check; physical examination
Recruitment and Hiring Support
- Supporting full-cycle recruitment including application review, candidate outreach, and interview scheduling
- Attending job fairs and community recruitment events
- Conducting reference checks and managing pre-employment background checks
- Building relationships with universities and employment agencies
- Assisting with new hire paperwork and ensuring accurate, timely completion
- Setting up employee records in Paylocity, ChildPlus, and Bridge systems
- Coordinating new hire orientation logistics and welcome communications
- Distributing staff ID badges and maintaining organized personnel files
- Reviewing timesheets for completeness and accuracy
- Supporting payroll report review and error resolution
- Performing data entry for position updates and changes
- Serving as resource for employee timesheet and payroll questions
- Maintaining personnel files and licensing folders with strict confidentiality
- Tracking CPR certifications, staff physicals, DOT physicals, and driver abstracts
- Monitoring DPI licenses and WI Registry entries for teaching staff
- Recording continuing education completions and training records
- Serving as approachable frontline HR resource for staff questions
- Visiting program sites to represent HR and support positive employee experience
- Providing bilingual support for Spanish-speaking candidates and employees
- Communicating HR policies, benefits, and procedures clearly and warmly
- Building heart-centered, values-based HR practices that care for employees
- Supporting bilingual staff and Spanish-speaking candidates throughout their journey
- Creating trauma-informed, psychologically safe workplace culture
