Position Overview We are seeking a driven, polished, and results-oriented Account Manager to manage and grow our national retail account base. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the wholesale sales process, a demonstrated ability to close and grow business, and a talent for building lasting partnerships with key retail buyers. Experience in consumer goods or home goods is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic annual sales plans designed to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and initial outreach through negotiation, close, and post-sale support.
- Deliver high-impact sales presentations that leverage category knowledge, market insights, and a deep understanding of the product portfolio.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and promotional programs that align with company objectives and customer needs.
Account Management & Business Development
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with buyers and decision-makers across major retail channels.
- Identify and secure new account opportunities to expand the company's retail footprint.
- Present new product collections, seasonal lines, and licensed programs to buyers, clearly articulating product features, benefits, and market positioning.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the dinnerware and tabletop product portfolio, including materials such as ceramic, stoneware, glass, and bamboo.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and product innovations to strategically position our offerings.
- Share relevant market and category intelligence with assigned customers to strengthen partnerships and add value beyond the transaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Development and Design teams to relay customer feedback and market demand into future collection planning.
- Represent Zrike Brands at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings; travel as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3–5+ years of proven, successful sales experience; consumer goods or home goods industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
