Role Overview

Private Markets fundraising Associate/Senior Associate to focus on Business Development and Distribution (potential for VP for the right candidate). The successful candidate will serve a dual mandate: (i) partnering with senior distribution professionals to advance the firm's broader capital formation efforts, and (ii) taking direct coverage responsibility for a defined book of tiered institutional accounts across North America.

This individual will operate as a client-facing representative of the firm — preparing fundraising and servicing materials, managing day-to-day LP dialogue, and independently owning the relationship cadence for assigned accounts. This is a high-visibility seat with a clear path toward expanded coverage responsibilities for candidates who perform. The role is ideally suited to a proactive, polished professional who has already built a foundation in business development, investor relations, or capital formation and is ready to step into a more direct coverage capacity within a premier platform.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct Account Coverage (Tier 2–4)

• Own day-to-day relationship management for a defined portfolio of Tier 2–4 North American institutional investors, including family offices, smaller endowments and foundations, RIAs, and sub-scale pensions and insurance accounts.

• Lead introductory and update calls, respond to inbound inquiries, and drive the overall engagement cadence across the assigned book.

• Partner with senior coverage professionals to develop and execute account-level coverage

plans, identifying white space, upsell opportunities, and cross-strategy fit.

• Represent the firm professionally in LP meetings, roadshows, and industry conferences,

with gradually increasing ownership of the client relationship.

Distribution Support & Fundraising Execution

• Support senior business development and distribution professionals across the full fundraising lifecycle — from initial prospect outreach through due diligence, documentation, and closing.

• Prepare and customize pitchbooks, investor presentations, flash updates, and meeting-

specific materials in partnership with the product and content teams.

• Draft and coordinate responses to LP requests, including DDQs, RFPs, ad-hoc diligence

questions, and follow-up correspondence.

• Coordinate meeting logistics, briefing memos, and follow-up tracking for senior coverage

professionals during heavy travel weeks and major LP events.

Market Intelligence & LP Mapping

• Monitor LP activity, allocation trends, personnel moves, and competitor fundraising dynamics using Preqin, PitchBook, and other industry data platforms.

• Maintain and enhance account-level intelligence on the assigned coverage universe —

tracking investor priorities, pacing, and mandate activity.

• Distribute market updates and competitive intelligence to the broader Distribution team on a regular cadence.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Undergraduate degree required

• 3–6 years of post-undergraduate experience in business development, distribution,

investor relations, capital formation, placement agent work, etc

• Direct exposure to institutional LPs — family offices, endowments and foundations, RIAs,

pensions, insurance, or consultants — is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of alternative investments, including exposure to private equity,

private credit, real assets, or hedge fund strategies.

• Familiarity with Preqin, PitchBook, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, DealCloud, or similar)

is a plus.

Skills & Attributes

• Polished, client-facing presence with the maturity and judgment to represent a premier platform directly to institutional investors.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail across both quantitative and qualitative work.

• Strong commercial instincts — able to read a room, identify opportunity, and advance a

dialogue thoughtfully.

• Highly organized and able to manage a large volume of concurrent workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines without loss of quality.

• Intellectually curious and genuinely interested in markets, investment strategies, and the evolving LP landscape.

• Collaborative team player who takes ownership, embraces feedback, and contributes to a high-performance culture.

• Professional, warm, and composed in all interactions with investors and internal

colleagues.
