Experience
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a student-athlete and/or in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Demonstrated knowledge of sport-specific fundamentals, strategy, and training techniques
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Acceptance into a UIndy graduate program required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively while balancing coaching and academic responsibilities
- Willingness to learn NCAA rules and compliance procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as required
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Assist with coaching at practices, competitions, and training sessions
- Support recruiting efforts through outreach, campus visits, and evaluations
- Help monitor academic progress and overall well-being of student-athletes
- Uphold and model NCAA Division II compliance standards and sportsmanship
- Represent the program and university in a professional and ethical manner
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or athletic department leadership
- Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
- Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
- Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
- Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
