Dallas, TX | Full-time

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience

Do you like being in the mix? Do you enjoy helping turn big ideas into real progress? Are you a strong writer who cares about how leaders show up publicly? Do you enjoy balancing strategy, execution, and communications—and being trusted to move important work forward? If this sounds like you, we want to know you.

About the Organization

This national advocacy organization works to expand educational opportunity and empower families with more choice in education. The team operates at the intersection of policy, communications, and public leadership—working across states and communities to influence how education policy is discussed and advanced nationwide.

The organization is mission-driven, fast-moving, and deeply invested in shaping public conversations around educational freedom and opportunity.

The Role

This is a high-trust, high-exposure role working directly with the CEO to help move priority initiatives forward while supporting how the CEO shows up publicly across digital platforms.

You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, execution, research, writing, and communications. The work includes everything from helping drive strategic projects to shaping digital content and messaging.

You’ll be close to leadership decisions, policy conversations, board materials, donor communications, and public-facing content. The right person is both thoughtful and scrappy—someone who can think strategically, execute quickly, and communicate clearly.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Projects & Execution (60%)

  • Partner closely with the CEO to move key initiatives and special projects forward
  • Translate high-level ideas into clear plans, timelines, and ownership
  • Build reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership, boards, and donors
  • Research policy developments and synthesize insights into clear takeaways
  • Draft and edit written content for the CEO (blogs, statements, thought leadership)
  • Track timelines and follow-through so important work actually gets done

Digital & Communications (40%)

  • Help manage and shape the CEO’s presence across social platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
  • Create engaging content that reflects the CEO’s voice and the organization’s mission. Experience in video production is a plus.
  • Develop posts, graphics, short-form videos, and timely commentary on policy news
  • Monitor public conversations and identify opportunities for CEO engagement
  • Partner with the organization’s communications team to keep messaging consistent
  • Track social media metrics and provide regular performance reports
  • Support media appearances by creating complementary digital content
