Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementations to lead enterprise-wide CLM tool selection, vendor governance, and end-to-end implementation delivery. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across legal, procurement, finance, and IT functions while driving successful CLM transformation initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete CLM project lifecycle including vendor evaluation, implementation planning, system integration, change management, compliance oversight, and post-go-live stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

1. CLM Tool Selection & Vendor Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end CLM tool selection lifecycle in collaboration with Business Analysts, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and IT teams.
  • Define formal evaluation frameworks, scoring models, and selection criteria aligned with enterprise contract management requirements, compliance standards, and scalability goals.
  • Manage vendor shortlisting, RFI/RFP creation and distribution, vendor demos, capability assessments, reference checks, and commercial evaluations.
  • Assess vendor capabilities across:
  • CLM core functionalities
  • Integration readiness
  • Security and compliance standards
  • Support and maintenance models
  • Negotiate vendor contracts, licensing agreements, SLAs, implementation timelines, and commercial terms.
  • Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks and manage contractual escalations throughout implementation.
  • Present vendor recommendations, implementation strategy, and business case analysis to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

2. End-to-End CLM Project Delivery

  • Develop and maintain:
  • Project charters
  • Project plans
  • Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • RAID logs
  • Budget forecasts
  • Milestone tracking dashboards
  • Lead the complete CLM implementation lifecycle including:
  • Discovery & requirements gathering
  • Solution design
  • System configuration
  • Data migration
  • Integration
  • Testing
  • Deployment
  • User training
  • Hypercare & stabilization
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including:
  • Business Analysts
  • IT development teams
  • System integrators
  • Legal teams
  • Procurement teams
  • Finance stakeholders
  • Vendor implementation teams
  • Oversee migration of legacy contract data into the new CLM platform.
  • Manage integrations with enterprise applications such as:
  • ERP systems
  • CRM platforms
  • E-signature tools
  • Document management systems
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Monitor project KPIs, risks, dependencies, and budget adherence while implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Escalate critical issues and project risks to leadership proactively.
  • Drive organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
  • Conduct post-go-live support activities, retrospectives, and knowledge transfer sessions.

3. Stakeholder & Compliance Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all CLM project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive status reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to:
  • Enterprise IT security policies
  • Data privacy regulations
  • Legal and audit compliance standards
  • Internal governance frameworks
  • Manage scope changes through structured change control processes.
  • Align business expectations, timelines, and deliverables across stakeholder groups.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Skills

  • 6–8 years of Project Management experience with enterprise application implementations.
  • Hands-on experience implementing major CLM platforms such as:
  • Coupa CLM
  • Icertis
  • Agiloft
  • Conga Contracts
  • SAP Ariba Contracts
  • Strong experience working with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and IT teams on contract management transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in:
  • Vendor management
  • RFP/RFI processes
  • Risk management
  • Budget tracking
  • Enterprise system integrations
  • Strong understanding of contract compliance, governance, and operational process optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification preferred.
  • Experience managing global or multi-country implementations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, security compliance, and data governance frameworks.
