Moodle Developer (Custom Development & Reporting)

We are looking for an experienced Moodle Developer to join our internal team and support the ongoing customization of our Learning Management System (LMS). This role will focus on improving the look and feel of our Moodle environment, building custom plugins , integrating with APIs , developing advanced reporting , and assisting our Learning Department with course development and SCORM management. Responsibilities

Customize Moodle themes to improve overall UI/UX design and branding . Develop, modify, and maintain custom plugins tailored to our learning and reporting needs. Build custom reports and dashboards for tracking learner performance and system analytics. Work with Moodle’s API and web services to integrate with internal systems and third-party applications. Assist the Learning Department with the import, configuration, and optimization of SCORM modules . Support course development by advising on best practices for structuring and delivering content. Optimize LMS performance, security, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Moodle customizations, plugins, and integrations. Provide documentation and internal training on newly developed features. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience with Moodle development , including theme customization, plugins, and reporting. Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML . Familiarity with Moodle’s API framework and experience integrating external systems. Experience with SCORM import, management, and troubleshooting. Experience with SQL queries and reporting tools for creating advanced custom reports. Understanding of LMS workflows, e-learning standards (SCORM, xAPI), and best practices . Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Experience with version control (Git) and agile development practices a plus.
