Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Plant Master Scheduler.
What you'll do:
Determines the distribution of the plant workloads and absorption, take decisions if the Materials manager dont be in the plant.
This role will be responsible, along with our plant production supervisors for the monitoring/maintaining of manufacturing activity performance to the master schedules. Communication with supervision and production control is necessary to effectively accomplish order, part and timing changes. Must have a strong understanding of a modern on-line MRP system, shop loading, capacities and manufacturing constraints. Must understand the Sales Order/Customer Service systems to get sales orders scheduled timely, performs RGID to orders and is involved in cleaning up past due orders. Monitoring Sales goals triggering actions to accomplish objective.
Job Responsibilities
A. Work with the S&OP Group to establish weekly production plans based on history, forecasts and new opportunities.
B. Load and manage the MPS plan in the ERP system.
C. Review proper order policies, safety stock levels, lead times and manufacturing bottlenecks and constraints.
D. Responsible for lead times published to the sales force, customers and internal employees.
E. Responsible for ensuring all sales orders are scheduled in a timely manner and within established constraints.
F. Gathers data for the Weekly Business Review Meetings. Weekly firms the MPS schedule at the firming time fence. Discuss issues with the operations team and determines demonstrated capacity.
G. Manage the Reserve Production Planning system by establishing the CIRs in SAP. Includes entry and scheduling of the CIR. The order scheduler will relieve the CIR with new orders. In addition, the master scheduler will enter CIRs for critical international customer orders.
H. Plans, schedules and directs weekly/daily manufacturing activity as required to support the master production schedule. Planning includes setting priorities, rescheduling, plant load management, Master Production Schedule (MPS).
I. Maintains a communication link between Marketing, Materials and Manufacturing on new products to insure a smooth insertion of engineering runs, confirmation runs, product introduction and plan changes into our manufacturing facilities.
J. Communicates and obtains consensus on sales order reschedules due to manufacturing delays and constraints.
K. Responsible for changes and expedites of customer orders. Communicates with both Manufacturing and CSC.
L. Input to the supply review meeting. Input to the sales current update and sales board estimate.
M. Consolidate and Monitoring Montlhy Sales Goal and Absortion Plan for the site.
Qualifications:
Education level required
Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration or related career
Years and area of experience required
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role and industry in supply chain function.
Technical knowledge
Experience in application of pull replenishment systems: Kanban, Reorder point, Min-Max, etc, Knowledge of ERP systems, including MRP logistics and transactions, SQDCI Metrics monitoring and reporting, Address root cause problem solving, Experience in a complex, electronic manufacturing environment, Ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams, Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills. #LI-MB2
