How You Can Make An Impact
- Perform on‑site service efficiently and effectively on Eppendorf instruments and equipment, including installation, operator training, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibrations and part replacement – always following service manuals and technical procedures.
- Document and manage all service activities, billing and quality records accurately, whether working in‑house, at customer facilities or remotely, ensuring traceability and compliance with our quality standards.
- Plan and manage your schedule in close coordination with Dispatch and your Area Service Manager, maintaining accurate calendar entries and balancing workload to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Build strong customer relationships by combining excellent technical expertise with clear, proactive communication and a consistently professional, “can‑do” attitude before, during and after each service visit.
- Manage spare parts inventory and company assets
- Bringing an associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school – or comparable military training – combined with approximately three to five years of related field service experience and/or training.
- Strong hands‑on technical skills in installation, troubleshooting, calibration and repair of instruments or equipment, with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- A structured, reliable working style: you plan your calls carefully, keep your calendar and documentation up to date and manage your time efficiently across multiple service requests.
- Customer‑oriented communication skills – written and verbal – that help you explain technical topics clearly, set realistic expectations and create a positive service experience.
- Proven ability to work independently in the field while staying closely connected with Dispatch, your Area Service Manager and colleagues to align priorities and share information.
- A flexible mindset and willingness to travel, including routine and sometimes short‑notice overnight trips, to be where customers and service needs require you
