Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Director specializing in Restoration and Disaster Recovery. This leadership role is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding our market presence within the disaster recovery sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in sales, strategic planning, and project management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer solutions and fostering long-term partnerships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead business initiatives that make a meaningful impact in helping clients recover and rebuild after disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow revenue.
  • Maintain and expand an established book of business with property managers, plumbers, and loss adjusters.
  • Build and manage relationships with insurance carriers, TPAs, municipalities, and commercial clients.
  • Track leads, communications, and deal progress in CRM.
  • Provide regular revenue forecasts and KPI reports to executive leadership.
  • Attend industry events, job walks, and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • 8+ years of business development or sales experience in restoration, disaster recovery, or environmental remediation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, emergency response, and compliance standards (IICRC, OSHA, EPA).
  • Established industry relationships and existing book of business required.
  • Proven ability to close high-value contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Based in Southern California with ability to travel as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (DOE)
