Full Stack Developer (Angular)

Salary: Up to SGD 6500

Role Overview

We're looking for a talented Full Stack Developer to join our Finance Technology team. In this role, you'll design and build innovative software solutions that drive our business forward. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into robust technical solutions while championing best practices in software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate, design and develop software solutions based on business requirements and application roadmap in alignment with architectural direction and standards.
• Ensure that solutions are performant, scalable, resilient and align to appropriate recoverability pattern.
• Support the Scrum master/Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
• Collaborate with PM, BA, QA and cross-functional teams to help unblock various issues needing technical expertise.
• Work closely with business team to understand business requirements and translate them into functional requirements in form of user stories.
• Validate user stories to ensure that functional requirement/story meet overall business requirement(s).
• Contribute as team player on assigned projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 4-8 years of proven working experience in Java development and demonstrated capabilities on full life-cycle experience (including design, development, unit testing, debugging, etc.) in the delivery of a wide variety of enterprise software solutions
• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)
• Experience in the Spring Framework and Angular JS
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, Maria-DB and PL/SQL
• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework
• Experience in developing JSON, SOAP web service, SCP, Connect Direct, Message Queues.
• Experience in Hadoop Ecosystems and Spark.
• Experience in CI/CD and associated tools (TestNG, Jenkins, Sonar, SVN, Bitbucket, fisheye and JIRA) using any cloud platforms.
• Experience in JBoss configuration and setup.
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, collaborating, and team building.
• Hands-on experiences in UNIX shell scripting and Linux commands will be a plus.
• Knowledge or prior experience on python and data visualization tools would be a plus.
• Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity and use it to their advantage.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment

Prior knowledge of banking products, financial accounting, regulatory reporting, MIS concepts and finance processes will be a plus

• Programming: Cloud native development in JAVA, Springboot, Spring Framework, Kubernates, Docker
• DB: MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• UI: AngularJS, REACT.JS, Typescript, HTML, Javascript, CSS
• CICD: Jenkins, SonarQube, Bitbucket, SVN, trunk-based development, feature-based development
• Agile PM: JIRA, Confluence, Agile practices/rituals, Behavioural Driven Development, Test Driven Development

Qualifications:

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of hands‑on Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and testing methodologies.
• Good soft skills – good in presentation/articulation and able to dissect requirements and proactive to reach out and seek clarifications as needed, instead of waiting for instructions
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
