Key Responsibilities
- Learn and understand company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
- Load trucks according to the sales invoice and list of materials.
- Organize and secure loads to ensure safe and efficient transport.
- Verify accuracy of loads with the yard manager before departure.
- Deliver and unload materials at customer job sites, ensuring satisfaction.
- Follow delivery instructions and ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Record delivery information on the sales invoice and communicate customer messages from the job site.
- Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company trucks and forklifts, including wearing seat belts at all times.
- Adhere to yard loading and security procedures.
- Accurately process merchandise returns with a credit memo.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned yard and areas.
- Assist with loading customer merchandise as needed.
- Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to respond to issues quickly and handle them in a calm, accurate, and professional manner.
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 to 10 hours daily.
- Proficiency in using a computer and calculator.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Class A driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Must show up and be on time everyday.
