- Climb and work on towers ranging from 50–500+ feet to perform installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Install and service antennas, microwave dishes, cabling, grounding systems, and related wireless equipment.
- Support wireless systems used for utility operations, including SCADA, telemetry, broadband, and private LTE networks.
- Conduct tower, structure, and site inspections; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for RF and data connectivity issues.
- Use rigging, hoisting equipment, and approved climbing gear safely and effectively.
- Complete daily safety briefings, job hazard analyses, and equipment inspections.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, parts used, and site conditions.
- Travel frequently to remote sites across the service territory; work in all weather conditions.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support emergency utility response needs.
- Previous tower climbing experience preferred (telecom, wireless, construction, utilities).
- Ability to climb and work at significant heights for extended periods.
- Working knowledge of antennas, cabling, grounding, RF components, and wireless systems.
- Strong awareness of OSHA, NESC, and industry safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license; clean motor vehicle record.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work with heavy equipment and tools.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Tower Climbing & Rescue Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- RF Awareness, First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Experience with utility communication systems (SCADA, microwave, private LTE).
- Familiarity with sweep testing, PIM testing, and basic diagnostic tools.
- NCCER, NWSA, or similar industry credentials.
