The PMO Director will lead the Project Management Office for the organization, specifically overseeing the delivery and governance of complex ERP transformations in Manufacturing and allied Industries. This role is responsible for ensuring that multi-year, multi-million dollar implementations stay on track, meet rigorous quality standards, and deliver intended business value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Governance & Frameworks

  • Establish and standardize project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) specifically tailored for ERP lifecycles.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for global delivery teams.
  • Lead the Project Steering Committee, providing executive-level transparency into project health, budget burn, and milestone achievement.

2. Portfolio & Delivery Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of SAP S/4HANA or IBM Maximo/ERP modules across various business units.
  • Manage high-level resource allocation, ensuring the right technical architects and functional consultants are deployed to critical phases.
  • Act as the final escalation point for "Red" projects, leading recovery efforts and pivot strategies.

3. Risk & Compliance

  • Conduct rigorous risk assessments, particularly regarding data migration, system integration, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
  • Ensure all implementations adhere to the IT Services organization’s security protocols and architectural standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contract compliance for third-party subcontractors or software providers.

4. Financial Oversight

  • Manage the total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the ERP portfolio.
  • Monitor budget variances and oversee the capitalization of project costs.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting to maintain healthy margins for the IT Services firm.

Candidate Profile

  • 12–15+ years in IT Project Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, with PMP Certification
  • Proven working experience in the Domain is a must have.
  • Deep understanding of ERP architecture, Middleware, and Cloud Integration (Azure/AWS/IBM Cloud).


Success Metrics

  • On-Time Delivery: % of milestones met within the original baseline.
  • Budget Adherence: Variance between planned vs. actual project spend.
  • Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Feedback from internal business leads or external clients post-deployment.
  • Resource Utilization: Efficiency of billable vs. non-billable hours across the PMO team.
