Salary Range: $120,000-140,000/year

Location: Austin, TX (onsite; local candidates only, no relocation)

Job Description:

Our growing company is seeking a skilled C#/.NET Avalonia UI Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet and exceed industry standards, as well as developing and implementing quality control processes to improve our manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Candidate will be based in our Austin, TX office.

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong design and development experience building cross-platform GUI applications in C#/.NET using Avalonia UI (or strong willingness to ramp quickly if coming from WPF/UWP).
• Experience targeting Windows and Linux; experience shipping to mobile (iOS/Android) is a major plus.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with async and multithreaded programming.
• Hands-on experience integrating web services (REST/JSON APIs).
• Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, debug complex issues, generate tests, and refactor safely—without compromising architectural clarity or maintainability.
• Experience with native platform integration (device IO, hardware interfaces, Bluetooth, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in Unity or Unreal Engine development is a plus.
• Experience with BLE on Windows/Linux is a plus.
• Understanding networking fundamentals is a plus.
