Investment Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the full investment lifecycle, including market research, deal sourcing, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Modeling:
- Build, maintain, and update robust financial models on a monthly basis, including valuation models, to support investment decisions and M&A transactions.
- Transaction Execution:
- Support end-to-end M&A processes, including managing Virtual Data Rooms (VDRs), coordinating due diligence workstreams, and assisting in drafting transaction documentation.
- Market & Industry Research:
- Conduct in-depth research to evaluate investment opportunities, identify industry trends, and analyze competitive landscapes using both traditional databases and AI-driven tools.
- Investment Materials:
- Lead the preparation of high-quality Investment Committee presentations, Information Memoranda (IMs), teasers, and management presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Portfolio Management:
- Monitor portfolio company performance against business plans, strategic objectives, and key KPIs.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, maintain project trackers, and ensure alignment to meet transaction timelines.
- Financial Reporting:
- Analyze historical financial statements and operational data to generate actionable insights for both the company and potential targets.
- Fundraising Support:
- Assist in equity and debt fundraising processes by preparing financial disclosures, investor presentations, and capital structure analyses.
- Investor Reporting:
- Support the preparation of periodic performance reports and dashboards for shareholders, lenders, and board members.
- Due Diligence:
- Lead the organization and population of the Virtual Data Room (VDR), ensuring all corporate, financial, and legal documents are audit-ready. Manage the Q&A process during due diligence to ensure accurate and professional responses to investor inquiries.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to leverage AI-driven tools to clean, structure, and validate large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in fintech, financial inclusion, and emerging markets
- Self-starter mindset with a proactive approach and strong willingness to learn
