Position Description
Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time Junior Electrical Designer/Technologist.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and design of drawings including, but not limited to: single line diagrams, low/medium voltage power schematics, electrical layouts, cable schedules, panel layouts, loop drawings, EHT ISO’s, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Support of senior team resources in the development of design calculations and studies including, but not limited to: equipment & cable sizing, lighting, heat trace, voltage drop, cable tray fill, etc.
- 3D modelling support.
- Communication and coordination with team members as required.
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute or comparable industry experience.
- Related work experience an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- NavisWorks experience an asset.
- Understanding of electrical design, including: electrical symbols, wiring schematics, cable schedules, lighting.
- Basic understanding of Canadian Electrical Code.
- Bluebeam Revu experience an asset.
- SmartPlant experience an asset.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Strong work ethic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Challenging large- and small-scale projects varying in scope, duration and application.
