Position Description

Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time Junior Electrical Designer/Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and design of drawings including, but not limited to: single line diagrams, low/medium voltage power schematics, electrical layouts, cable schedules, panel layouts, loop drawings, EHT ISO’s, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Support of senior team resources in the development of design calculations and studies including, but not limited to: equipment & cable sizing, lighting, heat trace, voltage drop, cable tray fill, etc.
• 3D modelling support.
• Communication and coordination with team members as required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute or comparable industry experience.
• Related work experience an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• NavisWorks experience an asset.
• Understanding of electrical design, including: electrical symbols, wiring schematics, cable schedules, lighting.
• Basic understanding of Canadian Electrical Code.
• Bluebeam Revu experience an asset.
• SmartPlant experience an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
