Location: 7300 South Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL 60629

Work Hours: This position is 100% onsite, working 3rd shift to start (11pm to 7am, M-F) with a possible move to 1st or 2nd shift and weekends so flexibility is critical.

Description:

• Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations.
• Monitor production lines for adherence to established quality protocols and report any deviations immediately.
• Implement and manage quality holds as necessary, ensuring proper documentation of the reasons for holds and the outcomes of investigations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspections, investigations, and resolutions.
• Work closely with production staff to ensure understanding and compliance with quality expectations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, safety, and efficiency within the manufacturing process.
• Prepare reports on quality metrics and communicate findings to management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality, food safety, or manufacturing roles.
• Experience executing quality holds, investigations, and documentation.
• Willingness to work assigned production shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
• Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., QCMS, HACCP, FSSC) preferred.
