Role: Senior C# Engineer - Post Trade & Back Office

Overview:
A leading global investment manager is looking for a Senior C# Engineer to join a high impact Accounting Technology function supporting critical post trade and back office platforms. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys ownership, complex systems, and close collaboration with technology and business stakeholders across global markets. You will work on enterprise scale systems spanning trade accounting, reporting, high volume processing, distributed architecture, cloud infrastructure, and event driven platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain business critical accounting technology systems.
- Develop robust C# and .NET Core applications within a distributed, service oriented environment.
- Improve multithreaded, 3 tier back office platforms used across global investment operations.
- Take ownership of key trade accounting systems from design through production support.
- Work with AWS serverless technologies, messaging platforms, databases, caching, and DevOps tooling.
- Partner with engineers across London, New York, and Asia to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
- Balance hands on development with second line support in a fast moving trading environment.
- Contribute to automation, platform improvements, and better post trade processing workflows.
Experience:
- 7+ years of hands on enterprise software engineering experience.
- Strong C# and .NET Core expertise.
- Solid understanding of object oriented design, multithreading, distributed systems, and service oriented architecture.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or Solace.
- Strong database experience across SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake, or similar.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or wider cloud technologies.
- Experience with Redis or other distributed caching platforms.
- Familiarity with event driven architecture.
- Experience with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, or similar DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of Agile, test driven development, or behaviour driven development is advantageous.
- Financial markets experience across equities, fixed income, commodities, or post trade workflows would be highly beneficial.
Compensation: Our client is open on rate, so far canididates have suggested a range between $150 - $200 per hour
