Your first expertise in backend development, API integration, and modern engineering practices will help us accelerate our web initiatives and deliver high-quality, seamless digital experiences. Additional experience with content management systems (CMS) is a strong plus.
What is your role at Ypto?
As a C#/.NET Developer you will take on the following responsibilities:
- Backend Development Leadership: Contribute to the development of our .NET applications by delivering reliable backend services and APIs, and collaborate with the team to ensure high‑quality technical implementation.
- Performance & Reliability: Help monitor and improve backend performance by identifying issues, suggesting optimizations, and implementing improvements to support reliability and stability.
- API & System Integration: Collaborate closely with frontend, architecture, and integration teams to deliver smooth, real-time data flows across systems.
- Technical Implementation Excellence: Translate technical requirements into clean, efficient, and scalable code, while helping define coding standards and best practices for the team.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure high quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration practices. Support the team in building secure and maintainable solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the latest trends in .NET and backend engineering, helping the team adopt new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Communication & Mentorship Communicate clearly with team members, share progress and risks proactively, and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to support a collaborative team culture.
You Also Possess These Technical Skills
- You have strong command of .NET 6+, .NET Core, Web API, and RESTful services
- You have experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and ORM frameworks (EF Core)
- You have additional experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Umbraco, Optimizely) - nice-to-have
- You have solid understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and modern development principles
- You have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
- You have strong grasp of performance optimization and troubleshooting techniques
- You have experience providing L2/L3 support in a production environment
- Solid grounding in Agile methodologies and iterative delivery
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive, learning-focused team culture
- Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to dynamic work environments
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly
- Proficiency in Dutch or French + English is required
- This role may require flexible availability outside of working hours at specific points in time (such as system go‑lives)
