X4 Group are partnered with a rapidly growing global engineering and technology organization that works with leading tech businesses and high-growth startups to build innovative software solutions through an AI-first approach.


They’re looking for a Business Development Director to lead outbound strategy, drive pipeline growth, and build a high-performing team while supporting significant business expansion.

This is a player-coach leadership opportunity where you'll have the chance to influence strategy while remaining hands-on in a commercial leadership capacity.


Key responsibilities include:

🔹 Build, coach, and scale a team of 6+ Business Development Managers

🔹 Own pipeline performance, forecasting, and quota delivery

🔹 Develop and refine GTM strategies, sales playbooks, and target market focus

🔹 Partner closely with marketing and leadership teams on growth initiatives

🔹 Collaborate cross-functionally on proposals and commercial strategy

🔹 Drive efficiency through AI tools and automation workflows

🔹 Foster a high-performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and results


What they’re looking for:

✔️ 7+ years of experience within B2B sales or GTM environments

✔️ 3+ years in leadership or strategic ownership positions

✔️ Strong consultative selling expertise

✔️ Proven track record of closing complex, self-generated deals exceeding $1M+

✔️ Experience selling into CTOs, engineering leaders, and technical stakeholders

✔️ Experience building repeatable outbound strategies in fast-growth environments

✔️ Strong understanding of software development and engineering organizations

✔️ Experience with AI-powered sales tools is a plus
