As a premier fluid power distributor in the U.S, Scott Industrial Systems provides dedicated fluid power support and custom-designed solutions that meet customer performance goals and keep industry running. We offer expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, electronic control systems, and repair. Scott has one of the best teams of Certified Fluid Power Specialists, Certified Electronic Control Specialists, and Certified Fluid Power Technicians to assist with problem-solving, system building, troubleshooting, and other custom requirements.
At Scott Industrial Systems, our account managers use their knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems combined with basic customer management skills to define and offer technical solutions to current/potential customers. They spend the majority of their time as business development experts developing/building relationships throughout their assigned territory and growing market share.
We distribute products from the world’s leading fluid power manufacturers, including Danfoss, Parker, and over 40 others. We have been in business for 77 years and we are privately held.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Account Manager for the Louisville / Lexington KY Market.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with Established Accounts and targeting high-potential accounts.
- Effectively communicates the Scott Value Propositions.
- Seek new opportunities to introduce our products, systems, and services.
- Generate quotes and follow up on assigned leads.
- Coordinate customer projects with our engineering and service teams.
- Act as a local technical resource in your territory with our customer base.
- Maintain and develop professional working relationships with key suppliers.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years of Fluid Power experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or a 2-year technical degree preferred.
- Strong fluid power aptitude and desire to win!
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and system schematics.
- MS Office Suite experience.
- Strong English written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
