The Role
We are seeking a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong practical engineering judgment and deep fabrication experience. Proven capability is required.
This is a senior-level role responsible for designing, validating, and releasing complex engineered systems. You will manage large assemblies (500+ components), multi-configuration designs, and fabrication-heavy structures while ensuring manufacturability, precision, and technical integrity.
This is not a drafting position. This role owns engineering quality prior to release.

Technical Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- Minimum 5+ years of advanced experience with SolidWorks and PDM
- Proven experience managing and optimizing large assemblies (500+ parts) and complex configuration structures
- Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated history of producing accurate, fabrication-ready assembly drawings and technical documentation
- Expert-level knowledge of sheet metal design, weldments, and large-scale fabrication
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, brake forming, laser/plasma cutting, CNC machining, and fabrication best practices
- Proficiency in design for manufacturability (DFM), GD&T, tolerance analysis, and cost optimization
- Experience collaborating with vendors and fabricators, incorporating technical feedback into designs
- Experience managing engineering change control, revision management, and maintaining accurate BOMs
- Capable of performing final quality reviews and technical validation prior to release
- Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and ability to perform FEA-based thermal stress analysis using SolidWorks Simulation
