Description
The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse - Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following proficiency and mastery of the core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service who delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service. Estimated pay range for this position is $50.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable.
Qualifications
Degrees:
- Associates.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
- Registered Nurse.
- Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- RNs hired prior to 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN.
- RNs hired after 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) with an Associate’s degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
- RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
- Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
- As per department standard any of the following may be required (ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, BLS- Basic Life Support, PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- 18 months of ED RN experience required.
