Full Stack developer - frontend

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark, Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the office)

We are a Copenhagen-based Series A Renewable Tech company. We combine geospatial data, deep economic modelling, and increasingly AI, to track over 90,000 renewable energy projects globally.

We are now establishing our core tech hub in Copenhagen and are looking for a frontend-focused Full-Stack Developer.

This is an opportunity to get in early. You will not just be maintaining a codebase, you will be shaping our technical culture, making foundational architectural

choices, and scaling a platform that has a direct impact on the climate and on the business.

The Opportunity

Modern stack:

• We push heavy analytical and geospatial workloads directly to the browser using client-side Parquet/WASM, and we are beginning to integrate AI and LLM workflows natively into the platform.

The challenge:

• Our core techno-economic model (Aegir Quant) is built around an Excel-based modelling interface, with integration into our cloud infrastructure for scalability. This was a pragmatic and effective choice that enabled our domain experts to build world-class models without needing to rewrite them into code.
• We now need your help to strengthen the surrounding platform, bridge the gap between our modern cloud architecture and legacy modelling core, and help us evolve both in a practical, scalable way.

The Stack

• Frontend: React/Vite SPA, Mapbox for rendering, and client-side Parquet/WASM
• Backend: Python/FastAPI and MongoDB
• Infrastructure: AWS and Kubernetes
• Legacy core: Our core techno-economic model (Aegir Quant) is built around an Excel-based modelling interface, with integration into our cloud infrastructure for scalability.

Your Key Tasks

Working closely with our CPTO (based in Canada), and the newly hired Tech lead and will take a key role in shaping the platform while

Your key tasks will be to:

• Own systems end-to-end, from React-based interfaces and geospatial data visualisation to Python/FastAPI backend services and AWS infrastructure
• Modernise and scale the platform: reduce technical debt, improve system reliability, strengthen deployment and observability practices, and build a robust foundation for secure multi-tenant SaaS features including authentication, authorization, and permission-aware workflows
• Contribute to the evolution of our modelling platform by helping connect modern product and infrastructure patterns with our legacy quant engine in a pragmatic way
• Explore and deliver AI-enabled product capabilities where they create clear value in a secure, data-rich environment

We Imagine That You

• Have 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Bring a full-stack foundation with experience in modern React/TypeScript and a Python backend/API track record
• Are comfortable owning problems end-to-end across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure
• Have a pragmatic mindset: you understand that we are a growing business, not a research lab, and you can navigate ambiguity, make architectural trade-offs, and collaborate closely with domain experts who are not software engineers

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with Ux/UI and design paradigms
• Hands-on production experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with geospatial stacks, model-driven systems, or analytical/data-heavy products
• Experience with authentication/authorization and multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Experience in the Energy/renewables domain
• Experience introducing AI-enabled features into secure SaaS products
