- Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans
- Provide diversified subject instruction on a higher level than grade standard in an interactive learning environment to achieve exceptional results for All students
- Assessment, reporting, and regular communication with parents is expected.
- Collaborate with the entire MS team to build a community of like-minded professionals that are here to serve the mind, body and spirit of the children in their care and supervision.
- Tutor students in content specific knowledge and skills to heighten their understanding of material and to heighten their trajectory to achieve academic growth.
- Maintain, as fully as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she is assigned.
- Assume responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class and during morning study hall and other activities.
- Support the school through non-instructional functions as recess duty if necessary, assisting in another classroom or sponsoring student groups to promote middle school growth and engagement
- Attend all professional development activities on early-release days, staff workdays, and occasional evenings.
- Report to the principal of any incidents of misbehavior.
- Follow all school policies, rules and procedures which good teaching dictates. Design and create essential classroom agreements with your students.
- Read and sign the staff handbook agreeing to the policies and procedures.
Hours Of Duty
- 7:40 am- 3:20 pm (for full-time teachers)
- 180 school days plus all professional development days (TBD)
Benefits: This is a part-time position and does not have benefits. (May add hours later)
Qualifications: (Only qualified applicants will be reviewed.)
- Bachelor of Arts or equivalent
- Teaching certification required
- Three years of middle or high school teaching experience preferred
- CV/Resume- List all work experience and your education background
- Letter of introduction
- At least three professional references
- Copy of your teaching certificate
