Junior Autocad Technician

A medium-sized architectural practice based in Plymouth is looking to add a Junior Architectural Technologist to its growing team. The practice works across a varied portfolio, with a strong focus on residential schemes alongside specialist conservation and heritage projects, as well as a selection of industrial developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–4 years’ experience looking to develop their career within a supportive and stable environment. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of building construction, be confident using AutoCAD, and be keen to continue learning across all stages of projects.

The role will offer exposure beyond purely office-based work, with opportunities to attend site visits and gain hands-on project experience. The practice is particularly interested in speaking with candidates who are looking for a long-term move and are genuinely interested in the type of work and culture on offer.

Key Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ experience within an architectural practice
• Good understanding of building construction and technical detailing
• AutoCAD proficiency essential
• Interest in residential and conservation projects
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to develop long term within a practice
• Strong communication and organisational skills

This would suit a Junior Technologist looking to join a well-established practice where they can gain broad project exposure and continue developing technically within a close-knit team.
