Data Analyst - Government Digital Service - HEO

This Data Analyst role sits in the Portfolio Planning & Performance Unit at the centre of GDS Digital Products. The team provides strategic insight to senior leaders, helping prioritise delivery and assure performance as GDS works towards an ambitious roadmap up to 2030.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Analysing strategic and operational data to understand performance, progress and impact
• Creating visualisations and insight that help leaders make informed, prioritised decisions
• Working closely with operations and delivery teams to improve data quality and consistency
• Helping shape how operational data is captured and used across the organisation
• Building reporting that is automated, reliable and secure
• Sharing insight clearly across teams and contributing to a performance/data community of practice

• Data modelling and/or reporting automation
• Visualisation tools such as Power BI (or similar)
• Clear storytelling to turn analysis into actionable insight

This could be a strong fit if experience includes:

• Delivering data analysis in an analyst role and working with complex datasets
• Communicating insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
• Building dashboards or automated reporting and improving data reliability
• Working confidently across teams in a fast-paced environment
