You’ll work closely with Arena Operations leadership and cross functional teams to support games, concerts, special events, and facility projects. This 1-year internship is designed to build practical experience while developing the foundational skills needed for a future career in arena management, venue operations, or live event production.

In This Role You Will
Arena Operations & Event Execution
You’ll support the operational foundation that enables successful events at FedExForum:
- Provide day‑to‑day support within the Arena Operations Department for all events, games, and arena functions;
- Assist with arena setup, breakdown, and conversions to ensure event readiness;
- Support coordination with internal departments to meet operational requirements for events and facility needs;
- Work alongside Arena Operations leadership to observe and support real‑time decision‑making during events;
- Gain exposure to the roles and responsibilities of multiple arena departments.
- Develop and maintain event‑related documents used to communicate operational needs with arena departments;
- Assist with preparing post‑event summaries, reports, and operational correspondence;
- Help track timelines, tasks, and follow‑ups for special projects and events.
- Assist with coordination of facility and construction projects as assigned;
- Act as a liaison to contractors by providing information and administrative support;
- Help monitor project requirements, timelines, and operational considerations tied to arena use.
- Build an understanding of large‑scale venue operations, event execution, and facility management;
- Gain hands‑on experience in a live sports and entertainment environment;
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support Arena Operations initiatives.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work while meeting deadlines
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong customer service focus with attention to detail and quality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
- Basic computer proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus
- Interest in sports, live entertainment, or venue operations
- Knowledge of and passion for NBA basketball
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the arena during events
- Ability to move throughout the venue, including stairs and back‑of‑house areas
- Ability to lift or move items up to approximately 25 pounds, with assistance as needed
