The Director Treasury and Payroll provides leadership and direction to the banking / cash management function, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer. Manages banking relationships including treasury operations, the private label credit card program, the commercial card program, merchant processors, stock plan administer, treasury management system (Kyriba), internal commissions, and lenders. Supervises the capital structure for the business including preparation of the borrowing base and cash flow forecasting. Ensures proper controls around cash remittances and timely payment to vendors and associates. Additionally, manages Payroll Admins. including review and administration of bi-weekly payroll.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains banking and treasury management structure. Account signer for company accounts including issuing final approvals for checks, ACH, and wire payments.
  • Responsible for all Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Provides leadership direction around the development of daily and weekly cash flow forecasts for the business.
  • Program manager for the Archarge private label credit card and financing programs including customer rewards loyalty program.
  • Maintains debt and covenant compliance including calculation of the borrowing base for the lender group along with revolving credit facility borrowings and payments. Supports analysis around go-forward capital structure opportunities.
  • Manages budget and forecast responsibilities for cashflow, merchandise inventory, and analysis in conjunction with the Planning function.
  • Directs the oversight for Adyen end-to-end payment processing.
  • Supports Human Resources in financial analysis and management of employee benefits, risk management, and insurance.
  • Hires and develops Treasury professionals to support the needs of the organization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely review of processing of regular and supplemental payrolls, including time and attendance data and reconciling variances and resolving errors
  • Coordinate with HR on payroll changes and updates
  • Performing an accurate review of payroll prior to submission for processing
  • Workman’s Compensation/Unemployment paperwork review and verification
  • Assist and review of the Company’s non-healthcare insurance programs
  • Other duties assigned as required


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Supplemental education and certification preferred (MBA, CPA, CTP).
  • 7+ years of prior finance experience, including at least 5 years in Treasury and 4 years managing people.
  • Experience in a public company handling Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • Experience working in the retail industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • High degree of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness.
