Position Purpose Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing sales strategy within an assigned region to drive
revenue growth, market share, and profitability. This role develops and manages a high-performing sales team,
builds strong customer and vendor relationships, and aligns sales efforts with company objectives. The position
requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on sales engagement to support both customer acquisition
and account development.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
· Lead, coach, and develop Sales Representatives to achieve sales and margin targets
· Drive sales growth through strategic planning, customer development, and market expansion
· Establish and monitor sales goals and performance metrics for the company
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and manufacturer partners
· Identify new business opportunities and support sales team in securing and growing accounts
· Collaborate with branch operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on inventory,
pricing, and service levels
· Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and decision-making
· Develop and execute business plans, including forecasting revenue and profitability
· Support product promotions, training initiatives, and customer events to drive engagement and sales
· Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline management
· Travel within the region to meet with customers, support sales team members, and strengthen relationships
Certifications:
· None required; professional sales or leadership training preferred
Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred · Equivalent experience considered
Years of Experience:
· 5+ years of sales experience in HVAC, wholesale distribution, or related industry
· 2+ years of leadership or team management experience preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
· Proven leadership and team development skills
· Strong sales acumen with the ability to drive growth and profitability
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
· Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
· Ability to travel
