Indexed description

Interested in scaling backend infrastructure for a Physics AI startup powering the future of engineering simulation?

In this role you would lead the design and architecture of backend systems for a cloud-native SaaS platform that enables engineers to run thousands of simultaneous, massively scalable physics simulations in the cloud. You'll also contribute to scaling cloud infrastructure (GKE/EKS), CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), and security.

Experience building SaaS/cloud products at scale will be essential for this role. You should be comfortable with Golang and Python in a production environment, and excited about building secure, reliable systems for technical users.

Experience in HPC environments or scientific computing is a major plus.

If you're someone who has led technical efforts as a senior IC, particularly in SaaS or cloud-based environments, this could be for you. Ideally, you also have a genuine interest in physics or computational science, even if your exposure has been limited. You’re pragmatic, lean toward shipping early and improving through iteration, and thrive in fast-paced startup environments.

This is a full-time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation is flexible dependent on experience and expectations, but generally ranges from a base salary of $250K–$300K plus substantial equity.
