About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an HR Manager for a fast-growing, well-capitalized organization in the NYC area. This role offers high visibility with executive leadership, including the Chairman. This is not a maintenance role, it’s a builder opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-moving, evolving environments. 5 days in office - NYC.
The Role
As the HR Manager, you will take full ownership of HR across the organization, bringing structure, consistency, and scalability to people operations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role (no direct reports initially), requiring both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current HR processes and identify gaps
- Build and implement core HR policies, systems, and infrastructure
- Strengthen talent acquisition and onboarding processes
- Create repeatable workflows, checklists, and employee lifecycle frameworks
- Act as a trusted HR partner to leadership and employees
- Roll up your sleeves and handle execution at all levels
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and growth environments and enjoys building from the ground up.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in startup or early-stage/high-growth companies
- Self-directed, proactive, and execution-focused
- Proven track record scaling HR processes during periods of change
- Experience building or owning: talent acquisition, onboarding, and core HR processes and policies
This role is not suited to highly structured, bureaucratic corporate backgrounds.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120K–$140K depending on experience (no bonus)
