Job Summary

HANYUL is seeking a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Assistant Marketing Manager to join our growing team in Toronto. This role will play a key part in supporting the growth of the Hanyul brand across the Canadian market through integrated marketing initiatives, retail execution, and brand-building activities.

The successful candidate will support go-to-market strategies and drive brand objectives across retail, digital, and consumer channels. This position requires strong collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, retail partners, agencies, and headquarters to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives and operational excellence. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Amorepacific Canada.


Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Trade Marketing & Retail Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of trade marketing initiatives across multiple retail and distribution channels.
  • Partner closely with the Sales Team to support product launches, promotional activities, sampling programs, and retail activations.
  • Assist in developing visual merchandising strategies and in-store marketing programs to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Manage retail assortments, launch timelines, promotional calendars, and retailer communications.
  • Monitor retailer performance and sales results by channel, identifying opportunities and supporting action plans to achieve business targets.
  • Coordinate retailer meetings, seasonal presentations, and launch-related events.


Brand Marketing & Consumer Engagement

  • Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and consumer engagement.
  • Plan and execute consumer-facing events, sampling programs, and experiential activations in partnership with retailers and agencies.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and consumer insights that support marketing strategies.
  • Assist with brand storytelling and communication initiatives aligned with the overall brand direction.


Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Support social media and digital marketing initiatives in collaboration with agency partners and headquarters.
  • Assist with influencer programs, digital campaigns, content planning, and online brand activations.
  • Coordinate marketing assets and digital communication materials to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Monitor social media and digital campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations.


Operations & Project Management

  • Manage and maintain the product launch calendar to ensure alignment across teams and timely execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/agencies to support seamless project execution.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports analyzing launch progress, sales performance, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Assist with budget planning, forecasting, invoice tracking, and expense management for marketing initiatives.
  • Support communication with regional and global headquarters regarding reporting, local market updates, and launch support needs.


Education & Marketing Support

  • Coordinate the preparation of marketing materials, product information, training tools, and selling guides in collaboration with the Education Team.
  • Support retail and field teams with launch communication and marketing assets to ensure successful execution at store level.
  • Assist with sampling logistics and collateral management for retailer and consumer programs.


Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in beauty marketing and retail, preferably within a Sephora or prestige beauty environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in trade marketing, brand marketing, digital marketing, and retail execution.
  • Understanding of beauty industry trends, consumer behaviour, and retail landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also managing projects independently.
  • Positive attitude with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
