Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute device data management plans for clinical research projects.
- Design, develop, evaluate, and modify computer programs to analyze and interpret clinical data.
- Implement data management plans to meet project and protocol deadlines.
- Plan, execute, and coordinate programming activities for database manipulation, transfer, and analysis of data for internal and external clients.
- Manage large projects or processes with limited oversight, exercising considerable latitude in determining deliverables.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Document data schemas, pipeline designs, and best practices for internal use.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Explore and integrate innovative data tools, including large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems, to enhance analytics and automation.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or Data Science.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry or related roles.
- Experience with clinical data management systems (e.g., Oracle Clinical, Medidata) and SQL.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Python, R, MATLAB).
- Extensive experience with data mining, processing, and version control systems (especially Git, GitHub, GitLab).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving needs.
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to build trust with stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex, large-scale problems.
- Curious, resilient, and motivated to continuously improve and explore new solutions.
- Solid understanding of the clinical device/drug development process.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development.
