We are looking for an International Category Manager (m/f/d) at our headquarter in Mannheim.
Your Tasks
- Support the Head of Category Management in developing and rolling out new Category Management processes that are tailored to existing country-specific ways of working.
- Contribute to the design of trainings and help establish a unified, state‑of‑the‑art understanding of Category Management across all countries.
- Lead country-level category analysis and support the development of standardized analysis methods to ensure consistent cross‑country stakeholder communication.
- Implement value‑adding Category Management data tools, reflecting local requirements and developed in close collaboration with data scientists. This includes establishing an international master data structure and harmonized category reporting.
- Drive the development of cross-country category review plans and promote best‑practice sharing to unlock efficiencies and synergies.
- Manage international promotional activities from initial planning and setup to execution and post‑activity performance review.
- Oversee international supplier management to ensure alignment with global category strategies and targets.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Key Account Management, Data Science teams, and Brand Management to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
- Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Min. 2-3 years relevant work experience ideally within Commercial / Category Management.
- Industry experience in Retail / Consumer Goods; with Pharma Retail / Wholesale advantageous.
- Experience of working with wide stakeholder groups and ideally in cross-country teams.
- Experience of leading cross-functional projects and embedding Category Management processes and principles.
- Strong analytical skillset with ability to work with multiple datasets and to identify insights.
- Strong understanding of master data structures and set‑ups, enabling the development of consistent, group‑wide reporting
- Team worker, flexible, self-motivated, innovative and pragmatic
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent command of English language in verbal and written form, with additional European Language advantageous
