The One Software Engineering System (OSES) project is a key Siemens initiative aimed at boosting developer productivity and creating a unified software development ecosystem. We implement modern, automated toolchains and best practices to deliver customer value faster, safer, and with higher quality.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Learn and support the development of fullstack applications (frontend and backend) using modern technologies
- Assist in the integration of OSES platform and tools under mentorship
- Help design and implement automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Collaborate with international teams in an agile environment and learn from experienced developers
- Support code quality initiatives and learn about security standards compliance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Basic knowledge of backend technologies (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) through coursework or personal projects
- Interest in CI/CD processes and DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Willingness to learn about Serverless technologies (e.g. AWS Lambda)
- Curiosity about Observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Datadog)
- Basic understanding of version control (Git/GitLab) and testing concepts
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Customer-focused mindset and eagerness to learn
- Openness to learning and applying new AI-based technologies
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed
- Academic projects or coursework involving cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture concepts
- Personal projects demonstrating automation skills
- Previous internship or work experience in software development
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts (e.g. Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
- Passion for staying current with new technologies and industry trends
