This is a senior, strategic, customer‑facing role responsible for driving AMD’s commercial outcomes across South Korea’s largest and most strategic enterprise customers, including hyperscalers, digital platforms, AI startups, conglomerates, and government‑linked enterprises. The role spans client, server, data center, cloud, high‑performance computing (HPC), AI acceleration, and GPU solutions.
The position is accountable for executive‑level engagement, strategic account development, and long‑range execution, aligning AMD’s technology portfolio to customer business priorities, AI strategies, cloud and data center roadmaps, and national ecosystem objectives.
The Account Executive owns the end‑to‑end strategy for assigned Key Enterprise accounts—from early architecture and platform influence through procurement, partner orchestration, and multi‑year execution. Success requires deep collaboration with internal AMD stakeholders and Korea’s enterprise and partner ecosystem, including OEMs, systems integrators, CSPs, AI software partners, and channel partners.
This is a Korea‑based role requiring frequent in‑person engagement with customers, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
The Person
You are a senior enterprise sales leader with a strong track record of engaging C‑suite and executive stakeholders in complex, highly strategic customer environments.
You are credible at both executive and technical architecture levels, able to connect customer business outcomes—AI competitiveness, platform performance, efficiency, and ecosystem openness—to AMD’s CPU, GPU, and accelerator platforms. You are comfortable navigating complex buying centers, partner‑led motions, and long planning cycles typical of large Korean enterprises and hyperscalers.
You bring the ability to lead virtual account teams, influence without authority, and coordinate multi‑party engagements across AMD, partners, and customer stakeholders. You are commercially disciplined, resilient, and highly structured, with the judgement required to succeed in multi‑year, high‑visibility enterprise programs.
Key Responsibilities
Key Enterprise Account Ownership & Growth
- Own and grow revenue, pipeline, and strategic footprint across assigned South Korean Key Enterprise accounts
- Develop deep understanding of customer business models, AI and data center strategies, cloud adoption plans, and technology roadmaps
- Position AMD as a long‑term strategic technology partner, not a transactional supplier
- Develop and execute multi‑year account plans, including:
- Opportunity prioritization and timing aligned to customer investment cycles
- Executive and technical stakeholder mapping
- Partner and ecosystem strategy
- Lead cross‑functional Account Squads (sales specialists, solution architects, marketing, partners) to execute plans, fully governed in Salesforce (SFDC)
- Build and manage a robust, qualified pipeline with strong opportunity discipline, forecast accuracy, and risk visibility
- Build trusted relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, Chief Architects, Heads of Infrastructure, AI, and Platform teams
- Engage at architecture and strategy level across data center modernization, AI/ML platforms, cloud infrastructure, and accelerated computing
- Orchestrate executive‑to‑executive engagement between AMD leadership and key enterprise customers
- Act as a strong internal advocate for customers, escalating risks, blockers, and feedback to drive resolution
- Lead coordinated engagement with OEMs, systems integrators, hyperscalers, AI software partners, and channel ecosystem
- Evangelize AMD’s server, client, GPU, and accelerator roadmaps to partner sales and technical teams through structured enablement and joint planning
- Maintain executive‑level relationships across partners to ensure aligned execution, ownership, and accountability
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, legal, finance, and operations to support complex, strategic enterprise deals
- Ensure high data quality and rigor in Salesforce, including account plans, contact maps, opportunities, and activity tracking
- Maintain and update customer client and server install base data in SFDC on a quarterly basis
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue, pipeline, and strategic objectives across the South Korea Key Enterprise portfolio
- Execute sales motions with strong discipline, governance, and partner coordination
- Demonstrated success selling into large Korean enterprises, hyperscalers, or platform companies
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder, long‑cycle deals with strategic importance
- Track record of building and executing enterprise‑level, multi‑year account strategies
- Experience managing deals involving multiple solution domains, platforms, and partners
- Strong experience working with OEMs, SIs, cloud providers, and AI ecosystem partners
- Ability to orchestrate partner‑led solutions while maintaining clear account ownership
- Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, servers, GPUs, AI acceleration, and cloud platforms
- Ability to position technology in terms of performance, efficiency, scalability, ecosystem openness, and total cost of ownership
