Veritas Wine Selections LLC (dba Veritas Selections) is a locally-owned-and-operated wine and spirits distributor and importer focused on the representation of family-owned producers. We are looking for an Account Manager/Sales Representative to manage an established sales route covering the Johnson County market. You will serve as the primary contact for current customers and prospective customers in your territory by making routine sales calls, both on- and off-premise.


This role requires on-the-fly adaptation to meet the needs of your customers. We expect you to be an energetic, passionate, goal-driven person with excellent communication skills. We expect you to impart the benefits of sustainable viticulture and organic winemaking and to be a torch bearer for our rapidly growing spirits portfolio. You'll by interacting with key retail buyers and cocktail-centric bars and restaurants daily.

You will tell the stories of our producers, grow our market share in both retail & restaurant settings, help us foster long-term relationships with clients, and grow our business.


Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact of assigned customers
  • Maintain current and established product placements
  • Present new or additional products and services to existing customers
  • Follow up regularly with customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and complaints to find solutions and defuse tension
  • Pass on issues to managers when needed
  • Approach prospective clients through cold-calling, email etc.
  • Maintain and grow a broad knowledge of the wine and spirits industry
  • Organize your own marketing materials ("point-of-sale")
  • Make routinely scheduled sales calls


Skills

  • Proven experience as an Account Representative or other sales role
  • Experience in customer service is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office is a plus
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking ability
  • Assertiveness and confidence
  • Goal-driven with ability to work under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma; BSc/BA in business is a plus
  • Lifting and carrying cases of wine, weighing up to 40 pounds each
