- Respond to IT helpdesk tickets:
- Support local and remote users
- Install software on Windows
- Assist with employee IT infrastructure:
- Configure employee workstation/laptop configuration
- Configure employee accounts / active directory
- Assist with hardware and software procurement and inventory management
- Perform basic system and user administration tasks for Windows Server
- Troubleshoot, assemble, repair and configure Intel based workstations, servers and peripheral equipment Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate plus four years of relevant experience (diverse, progressive administrative) and training, OR an associate degree plus two years of relevant experience and training, OR a Bachelor's and no previous experience required
- Two years of expertise in a windows desktop environment
- Must be able to work independently and have good customer interaction skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in providing helpdesk functions
- CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain this certification within one year of employment
- Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
- A valid driver’s license and low risk driving record is required to be insurable by the University
- 1+ years of Active Directory and Windows File Server expertise
- Experience in setup and management of imaging services for building out workstations for windows
- Experience supporting Linux systems
