Macmillan Davies is partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed business to hire a Talent Operator for an exciting early-career opportunity in a fast-paced and high-performing environment.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of recruitment, operations, and commercial impact. The successful hire will take ownership of full-cycle recruiting activity, work closely with innovative internal tools and systems, and play a key role in helping the business scale efficiently.

The opportunity

As a Talent Operator, you will be at the centre of the hiring engine, managing candidate pipelines, supporting partner hiring activity, and contributing to the continuous improvement of internal recruitment processes and technology.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who is ambitious, highly driven, and motivated by performance-based reward. Over time, the scope of the role is expected to expand based on individual strengths, with progression into broader operational, leadership, or client-facing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment across multiple high-growth hiring pipelines.
  • Source, screen, and coordinate candidates in a high-volume environment.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and act as a key touchpoint throughout the process.
  • Provide feedback on internal tools and workflows to help improve recruiting efficiency and performance.
  • Support the development of scalable hiring playbooks, systems, and operating processes.

Candidate profile

  • 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, operations, or another high-performance environment such as consulting or investment banking.
  • High agency, strong work ethic, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities at pace.
  • Coachable, low ego, and eager to learn.
  • Based in San Francisco or open to relocating.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $80,000–$110,000
  • On-target earnings: 50%
