Senior Tax Analyst - Tax Compliance
Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR Corporate – Finance Operations / Full-time / Hybrid apply for this job We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Tax Analyst - Tax Compliance to handle the rapid expansion of the tax compliance function at Crypto.com. Based in Hong Kong, you will focus on corporate income/ GST / VAT tax compliance for our APAC and EMEA operations. This role offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to grow in a fast-paced environment within the fintech/digital asset industry. Reporting to the Tax Director – Global Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting, the successful candidate will play an important role to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of tax compliance matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who thrives on accuracy and is committed to deliver high quality of work through disciplined self-review. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to business situations.Responsibilities:
- Execute the preparation of corporate income tax returns and GST / VAT returns
- Assist in liaising with local and overseas colleagues and external tax services providers regarding corporate income tax and indirect tax return filings
- Support the Tax Director in the calculations of quarterly and year-end tax provisions (i.e.compute current tax and deferred tax expense in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP (ASC740))
- Review tax accounts and prepare tax “true-up” journal entries following the filing of corporate income tax and GST / VAT returns
- Process tax provision journal entries within the enterprise accounting system and input accurate data within the Longview software
- Maintain tax administration tools such as cash tax trackers and professional fee budget trackers with a high level of accuracy
- Perform tax research and assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required. CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with regional or local public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax department in a public company
- Proficient knowledge of tax law in any of the following jurisdictions – Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Japan, UK.
- Strong Excel skills and financial modelling skills (e.g. power user of Lookup functions, Pivottables, data manipulation). Familiarity and keen adoption of technology tools such as Agentic AI.
- A high-level of intellectual, professional and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and open-minded personality and "Hands-on" work mentality
- Well organized and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and great team player
- Background in IFRS or US GAAP tax accounting and knowledge in crypto will be an advantage
- Passionate about start-ups and has a desire for long term commitment in digital assets industry
