Design Manager – Engineering / Fabrication Equipment Department: Design & Engineering Reporting To: Managing Director / Projects Head Location: Vadodara Industry: Engineering Fabrication / Process Equipment Manufacturing Experience Required: 10–15 Years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Position Summary : The client is seeking an experienced and technically strong Design Manager to lead and manage the complete engineering and design function for industrial fabrication, process equipment, pneumatic conveying systems, structural systems, and turnkey manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

 Review SO / PO, technical specifications, schematic drawings, and project scope.

 Lead preparation of P&ID, layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings, and manufacturing drawings.

 Validate design calculations, equipment sizing, and technical feasibility.

 Ensure BOM accuracy, ERP BOM release, and revision control.

 Coordinate with PPC, Production, QC, Purchase, Projects, and Site teams.

 Support fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.

 Resolve technical issues during production and site execution.

 Review and approve drawings before release to production.

 Lead and manage design engineers and draftsmen.  Establish engineering standards and design SOPs.

Software & Technical Skills Required

 SolidWorks

 AutoCAD

 Excel

 ERP BOM Handling

 Innovator / Creo / Nesting Software (Preferred)

Mandatory Skills

 Minimum 10 years experience in fabrication design.

 Strong knowledge of SS fabrication, structures, process equipment, and welding practices.

 Hands-on experience in BOM preparation and production coordination.

 Strong practical manufacturing understanding. Preferred Industry Experience
