We're looking for an SEO Lead to play a key role in building the UK's go-to home improvement marketplace. As our next SEO Lead, you'll help shape our SEO strategy, working across technical, content, and off-site authority while defining how Checkatrade shows up in the next generation of AI-driven search.
Requirements
- Solid background in SEO at scale
- Hands-on technical experience with crawl budget, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, indexation, and schema
- Strong grasp of on-page content strategy and search intent
- Confidence with SEO tooling day-to-day - Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush, and Google Search Console
- Strong writing skills grounded in EEAT, Google’s Search Quality Rater Guidelines, and modern search best practices
- Working understanding of GEO/AEO and how content is surfaced in generative search environments
- Curiosity in agentic AI workflows and automation
- Clear, confident communication across technical and non-technical audiences
