Head of Financial Reporting and Analysis

Martello Re is building a distinctive reinsurance offering and is looking for a Head of Financial Reporting and Analysis to drive the annual planning cycle, long-range financial forecasting, management reporting, and strategic financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a seasoned actuary with deep expertise in the life and annuity (re)insurance industry.

Requirements

• Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting process and multi-year financial forecasts.
• Produce management reporting packages for senior leadership and the Board.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Partner closely with the actuarial team to understand and communicate movements in liabilities.
• Collaborate with the investments team to analyze ALM positioning, spread income, and the financial performance of asset-intensive treaty structures.
• Support the preparation of investor relations materials, rating agency presentations, and regulatory filings.
• Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes, actuarial finance interfaces, and reporting infrastructure.
• Provide support for key actuarial initiatives related to financial reporting.
• Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous development.
