Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in IT asset management or service management.
  • Hands-on experience with asset management software or similar ITSM / ITAM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle management and software licensing models.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and process documentation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in higher education
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework ( ITAM , CMDB , Service Management).
  • Experience integrating asset management tools with identity systems (e.g., Active Directory).
  • Knowledge of procurement workflows and financial tracking of assets.

Position Purpose

This role ensures the university maintains accurate visibility and control over its IT assets, enabling cost efficiency, security compliance, and strategic planning across the institution.

This position supports the UTS Active Directory migration project for the campus. This position will be will be responsible for all Device Lifecycle, Asset Management and Endpoint Device Management. This role ensures accurate tracking, compliance, and optimization of IT assets specifically using the IT Service Management ( TDX ) and Microsoft Intune software platforms.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining data integrity across asset inventories, supporting procurement and lifecycle planning, and aligning asset management practices with university policies, security standards, and financial accountability.

Job Duties

Working collaboratively with infrastructure, security, and support teams, this position manages policies, and lifecycle processes for IT assets across campus. The role also supports the implementation of modern management practices, including device provisioning and lifecycle of assets. A key responsibility is ensuring that endpoint administration and support tools follow align with institutional security policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits of hardware and software assets.
  • Produce reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle status.
  • Support internal and external audits related to IT assets.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA , security policies, and institutional governance.

Work closely with endpoint management, infrastructure, procurement, and finance teams.

  • Support IT service desk with asset-related workflows and ticket resolution.
  • Provide training and documentation for staff on asset management processes.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for asset management best practices.

Responsible for recording and collecting data on campus Information Technology Assets) that includes physical components (laptops, servers, networking gear) and intangible components (software licenses, applications, cloud services) that an organization owns or uses for operations.
