The successful candidate will be adept at developing and executing corporate strategy, supporting innovation projects from idea generation to execution, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and transformation priorities.

Job Overview

As the M&A/Strategy and Innovation Specialist, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and enabling innovation initiatives across the Group. Reporting to the Strategy Manager/Director, and working closely with the Innovation function, this role contributes directly to the organization’s growth, competitiveness, and transformation. The primary objectives of this role include:

• Support Strategy Cycle Activities: Contribute to the preparation of Board of Directors and ExCom materials, and support Corporate and Business Strategy reviews, updates, and execution of key initiatives.
• Drive Strategic and Innovation Initiatives: Coordinate cross-functional projects that foster organizational growth, technological advancement, and innovation. Support idea generation, pipeline development, prototype testing, and go-to-market strategies, ensuring initiatives are aligned with corporate priorities and emerging market trends.
• Develop Competitive Dynamics Perspective: Analyze industry metrics, conduct competition benchmarking, and provide insights on market trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Support M&A Activities: Contribute across the M&A lifecycle – from opportunity identification and evaluation to due diligence, financial analysis, deal execution, and integration.
• Enable Open Innovation and Funding: Engage with external partners (startups, research institutions, technology providers) to accelerate innovation projects, and support funding applications (e.g., grants, corporate programs).
• Facilitate Innovation Processes: Apply AMFRESH’s Innovation Framework to structure innovation cycles, strengthen cross-BU collaboration, and ensure strategic alignment.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Ideal candidate should have 2-4 years’ experience in top management consulting firm or investment banking
• Demonstrated leadership skills: successfully collaborate with CEO and ExCo members to execute assignments and deliver results efficiently
• Strategic thinking, change leadership, cross-functional collaboration and sound project management skills
• M&A expertise in participating/managing and executing mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration M&A experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse and evolving business needs
• Strong analytical (Excel) skills, problem-solving capabilities and technological acumen. Ability to develop impactful presentation decks (PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to work independently and under pressure
• Attention to detail coupled with strategic thinking. High curiosity and a hunger to learn.
