Location: This position is offered on a hybrid basis in our Freiburg office, Germany - working closely with colleagues in the engineering team.
Your Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to support our Satellite Technology team in improving internal engineering tools and documentation systems used in satellite development. During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience working with engineers on real systems engineering workflows and software tools that support the development and operation of our satellite constellation.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and receive mentorship throughout the internship.
This position is a paid internship (Pflichtpraktikum) as part of a university degree program, in accordance with German labour regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and improvement of internal systems engineering documentation platforms.
- Assist in building automation tools for requirements management, task tracking, and visualisation.
- Help integrate external data sources via APIs.
- Support engineers in using and improving internal documentation and tooling.
- Contribute to improving internal engineering workflows and processes.

- Languages: Python, Markdown, reStructuredText, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
- Tools: Git, Docker, GitHub Actions.
- Platforms: Internal engineering platforms and integrations (including SharePoint).
