Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations for a full-service event production company. This role is responsible for managing operational workflow across warehouse, logistics, labor, trucking, equipment, production, fabrication, and event execution teams.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in event production, logistics, warehouse operations, rentals, AV/staging, scenic fabrication, décor, or a similar fast-paced service business. This person must be able to manage people, schedules, resources, budgets, and process improvements while keeping events moving on time and at a high level of quality.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across warehouse, logistics, production, labor, trucking, equipment, and event support teams.
Coordinate with project managers, event managers, scheduling teams, fabrication, print, design, and leadership.
Ensure event materials, equipment, crews, trucks, and production resources are properly planned and prepared.
Manage operational schedules, labor needs, inventory flow, equipment usage, and warehouse readiness.
Improve internal processes for scheduling, loading, returns, quality control, communication, and event execution.
Supervise operations staff, crew leaders, warehouse teams, drivers, and event support personnel.
Monitor labor costs, overtime, equipment usage, trucking efficiency, and operational budgets.
Ensure safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectations are followed.
Troubleshoot operational issues before, during, and after events.
Support leadership with staffing plans, performance management, training, and operational reporting.
Requirements
5+ years of operations leadership experience in event production, logistics, warehouse, AV/staging, rentals, fabrication, or a related field.
Experience managing crews, schedules, trucking, equipment, inventory, and event production resources.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, departments, and event schedules at once.
Experience with labor planning, budget management, process improvement, and team accountability.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of event production, load-ins, strikes, warehouse operations, and logistics preferred.
Flexibility for nights, weekends, and peak event schedules as needed.
