VP of Construction

VP of Construction | Commercial Solar | $250k + 25% Bonus

I’m working with a growing solar developer in the Northeast that is hiring a VP of Construction to lead execution across an expanding portfolio of C&I solar projects.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing project managers and ensuring projects move from design through commissioning on time and on budget. The company has been operating in the solar sector for over a decade and is scaling toward 100MW+ of operational capacity across projects with municipalities, educational institutions, and commercial clients.

The VP will play a critical role in building processes, improving construction execution, and supporting the company’s next phase of growth.

Location

Central New Jersey

Hybrid schedule with time in the office and on project sites

Compensation

$230k to $260k base

25% bonus

What you’ll do

• Lead execution of commercial solar projects from design through commissioning

• Manage and mentor a team of project managers

• Ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with internal KPIs

• Oversee procurement, subcontractor coordination, and field execution

• Build scalable construction processes as the project portfolio grows

• Provide regular updates to leadership and financial stakeholders

What they’re looking for

• 7+ years leading commercial solar construction projects

• Strong background in C&I solar from a developer or EPC

• Experience managing project teams and construction portfolios

• Someone highly organized who can bring structure and proactive planning to projects
